TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
FIRST AID/TRAINING is required in almost all workplaces. 29 CFR 1910.151(b), provides: “In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, hospital in near proximity [defined as 3-4 minutes] to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid.
First minutes count.
For every minute someone is unconscious and not breathing without CPR, they have a 10% less chance of survival.
Each year less than 3% of the U.S. population receives CPR training, leaving many bystanders unprepared to respond to cardiac arrest.
